At Barbara Bahr Sheehan Interior Design Inc, we pride ourselves on the collaborative approach we take with our clients on their projects. We have found that by establishing a procedure that we always follow, our time and energy are freed up so we can be more creative and can devote ourselves to a successful outcome.

The First Step:

• Initial Consultation: This 1 hour meeting serves two purposes; we ascertain the client's requirements and wish list and they get to know us and how our design process works. From this meeting, a proposal for the Design Services and Fees is prepared and sent to the client for approval prior to working on the project. There is no charge for the initial consultation.

Working with us:

• Visual Imagery: Based on the first meeting, we create a package of images for the client to respond to in order to establish a design/style direction for the space(s).
• Preliminary Concepts and Budget Review: After establishing a direction and refining the concept, we evaluate the ideas with reference to the client's budget for the project and make recommendations for allocation of resources.
• Drawing/Design: We get to work here and design and document all the Interior Architecture that may go into the project; millwork, cabinetry, lighting plans, plumbing fixture selection etc.. and submit them for pricing and construction.
• Presentations: The fun stuff! This is where we show the client all the results of our shopping, composing and editing to make their home into a special place. We provide options and opinions and the guarantee that we will never show a client anything that we don't love and think is wonderful. Client feedback at these presentations is critical to moving forward and finishing the spaces.
• Pricing and Proposals: Every item being considered for the project, every rug, every lamp, every piece of furniture is priced out exactly as the client wants and submitted in the form of a proposal for purchasing. With a sign off and deposits, we place the orders and expedite them for a timely delivery.
• Construction Observation: For projects under construction, we visit the site to ensure that the design is being carried out as approved by the client.
• Installation: The transformation all happens here; construction site to amazing home with our coordination and supervision.
